A couple of weekends ago I had the pleasure to attend a wonderful antique car meet at Hammonasset State Park in Madison, CT. Among the many beautiful old cars there was a 1967 Pontiac Tempest Sprint, which had the high-output overhead cam 6-cylinder engine. This car was in wonderful condition, and featured some interesting notes provided about the very unique powerplant.

Great web site link Steve.
It's a shame that GM didn't push this engine harder, but not that's not unusual for this company to let special plans go to seed.

Thanks Wayne. Others in the know have suggested that it "just wasn't the right time" for the high-tech six--muscle car buyers wanted their big V8s.
